went up to the ward ydae morning..
i have a new preceptor.. my 1st impression of her??? WAAAAAY COOLER THAN GINA. hah! (gina was too uptight. but nonetheless, knowledgable. unlike urs truly lah)
my cool (i hope this is for the bloody long run man!) preceptor works in the paying class. which means, ill be there permanently. oh dear god. 1st day of work & i already feel i have a hanger stuck in my mouth! keep smiling.. keep smiling.. =) but, there's aircon. so im not gonna complain. haha..
after work, it was fantastic four 2 at marina square where i found my human torch poster.. (HELL YEAH!!).. bought sushi from carrefour.. tapao-ed to B & J.. yes, we ate B & J with sushi. happening lah. & nak chap was like an ice cream virgin! TSK TSK.. now she's addicted to choc fudge chunk.. welcome to the club hun!! haha..
today was spent with family. jb in the morning with mom, pops & bro.. its been awhile since we spent a whole morning together. i forgot how it felt like to just laugh at my parents' non stop squabbling, my bro's ultra lameness & our all time fav hobby.. creating dirty names from car plate letters. & mom's phrase of the day "CINTA ITU BUTA MY CHILDREN".. cracked us up like crazy.. =)
the parentals sent bro to bbdc in the afternn & me to the godsis's house... it's been awhile too since i hung out at her place.
tried on my grad robe & she was right about the S size... besar lah dok! but its damn nice can.. thnx again love..

its a friday.. most would say "TGIF!!" but i still have work tmr la (even though its half day, still! like SOH BACH CHINS!)
i would never (in a million years) expect myself to be laughing like some goon with
that fella.. i used to silently compete with him on who can walk the fastest from outram mrt station to SGH just because. (i know, kerje bodoh.. & we weren't even friends back then!) i swear he was silently competing too hokay!
so today, (of ALL days) i decided to ask him for a favour to let me cut queue in front of him (just to get the free TODAY paper. i sound so kiam siap can!) & he happily obliged. i was so thankful. & the next thing i knew, he was complaining to me about his shoe & his blister & i was advising him to "bite his shoe". like wth??!!

my first day as
Staff Nurse Nurul Haya.. i stared at myself in the mirror for a good 5 minutes before gg off to work. its the new uniform thingy. so u cnt blame me for being a little vain. =)
i was feeling all nervous & excited.. even paraded myself in front of mom & dad before they went off to work. mom was all "CHEHWAAAAH!!! dah start kerje for real.. must work properly arh"..
dad's 1st reaction?? "asal baju kau ketat??" -.-
omg dad.. ur such a morale booster.. i think if i wore something from the XXXL store then he'll be bloody happy. im serious!
anihoos... ill be having foundation program for about a month. which means lectures, tests (oh dear, its been awhile..) & gg back to the ward occasionally for some clinical practice. probably to help out in some junior work.
and i ddnt get posted to the ward i chose. in fact, the batch of us from 64 surgical got posted together to 75 (its still surgical ortho lah).. apparently 64 surgical isnt taking in any new nurses. -_- .. super disappointing can. but oh wells.. my mother was warded in 75 before so i shall take it as a good sign.. (for watever reason i dunnoe) & be happy there.. yes dayah.. we shall be damn cool nurses.. haha..
we are SO proud to be staff nurses.. haha.. EH! ITS A DAMN BIG DEAL OH-KAY!!!

SAWADEEKAAAA!!!! im back.. belief it or not, i missed spore heat. no kidding man.
it was a whopping 38 degress celcius there.. almost attempted to fry an egg on my hair.
decided not too. if not, its a waste of 90 bucks of rebonded hair. CHET!
major highlights....
- i got on a budget airline for the first time & i already hate the airport security.. (happily threw away my dad's toothpaste. dah susah2 bawak. sheesh!)
- the coolest sunrise greeted me on my way to bangkok. (i fought with the brother for the window seat. heheh.)
- suvarnabhumi airport in bangkok is the largest airport in SEA with the FEWEST direction signs ever! terrible. but its a really nice airport nonetheless...
- our bus/coach was freaking HUUUUGE!!! we climbed 2 flights of short steps to reach our seats. the mother had a good exercise though. hee...
- we spent the 1st night in pattaya which is a good hour & half from bangkok.. i foresaw damn long bus rides for those 5 days. o_O
- i saw the prettiest orchid garden ever (prettier than spore's ok.. not kidding!)
- i paid 50 baht for orang utans to grope my boobs. ok, im friendly. but not THAT friendly. i wanted a happy picture. they took advantage. one even kissed me.. mom got the same treatment. we poor poor women.
- i watched a pondan show. like hello?? i felt effing inadequate standing beside them can. pretty shits i tell yoo.. & their geleks are TO DIE FOR. just dnt let them speak. its more than enough to contain urself. hah!! & i ddnt want to pay 40 baht to have my picture taken. enjoying their "beauty"from afar is enuf for me. heh..
- i went parasailing! omg. i was so "hyped" to feel the bloody harnest trying to squeeze the fats out of my fat ass. the masked dudes pulled the rope damn tight lah! riiite.. but seriously, the feeling of flying with a speedboat pulling me was just WOW.
- i jetskied with the brother. this time i was smashed in the middle coz the thai dude was helping the bro to manipulate the gear & all. basket. (was i invisible or wat?!) oh oh!! we saw the prettiest rainbow ever. its nothing like we've seen before & it was stretched over the sea.. ah.. the wonders of nature... i felt so estatic then caaaan...
- we banana boated. called ourselved the blacksparrows coz the 5 of us realised we were all in black. hah.. & makcik almost qatam-ed the whole quran coz i think she was scared shitless.. me & irah just laughed till our jaws ached. hah...

- we headed back to bangkok & chatuchak-ed.. HAPPENING LAH.. COZ IT WAS THE START OF MY SHOPPING SPREE.. =) my bargaining skills are still tip-top.. i was even complimented. im oh-SO-proud. =)
- chao praya river is amazing. i expected a lot of floating markets but sadly only 3 came up to us. i felt so tourist-y.. haha..
- took 2 hours to drive into ayuthayya. the ruins which was previously covered in gold & where something historic took place. dnt expect me to recall lah. my history was a pathetic 50/100 back in sec 1 & 2. i was just told the burmese stole the gold & chopped of the statue heads.
- dreamworld was a blast. i got myself all PALE coz of the idiotic haunted house. (ddnt help that the 2 girls in front were shouting like crazy & irah was bursting the vessels in my hand. & the brother was creepily poking our backs & making sudden screeches. IDIOT!!!) then we go-karted with wet clothes on. very very smart. hah..
- an elephant stopped right in front of us right in the middle of a pathway. spreaded its hind legs, started to shit & pee.. wat perfect timing laaarh.. dnt worry. pictures of the WHOLE process were taken. ahha...
- and hello MAH BOON KRONG... shopping paradise aka the place where i burnt 50% of my moolahs. & the place where some bag seller sardinely told me i looked thai & philippino. he ddnt belief i was a singaporean at all. like wth??!!
- i took the train which crosses over the DEATH RAILWAY.. (dig up ur history ppl) had a crush over this cute high sch kid in the train..SEMPAT! (pedophile i know. but i swear he looked only a year younger lorh. ) saw the most breathtaking landscapes. went into the border of Burma.
- and right at that moment, the brother pointed up to the sun & we saw a rainbow circle around it. it was SO beautiful that i stared at it for a whole minute not mattering if the sun was hurting my eyes. & the "smart" brother told me it wasnt rainbow but the ozone layer closing in. i feel so lucky hes smart. chet!
- watched 200 pounds beauty with irah & the bro in our hotel room.. played UNO & taidee.. (god knows how long i havent played that) & laughed till our jaws ached. ate kimchi lays. i swear thais have the nicest crackers with the most delicious flavours.
omg!! i miss thailand already. i seriously do. its by far the most adventurous/fun/enjoyable & not to mention educational holiday i ever had with my family.. the pace there is so relaxed as compared to ours. duh! they had more daytime. (they're an hour behind us)
i picked up some usable thai language. i ate the SYIOK-EST tom yam ever! i also made a new friend. she was my best gal pal during those 5 days. we laughed at the most idiotic things. had so much fun with our kimchi & beauty night.. shouting "NAK CHAP" (inside joke) at irrelevant times.
i miss our tour guide david who has 3 wives in 3 different countries. i miss seeing his shocked face everytime we carry excessive amounts of plastic bags over our hands. we had the cutest & coolest bus driver. who never fails to smile whenever i say "koppunkaaaaaa" so loudly as im alighting the bus.
many other happening things happened. but there. that's the gist of it. i foresee myself gg back there sometime in the near future. irah, maybe we will go there ourselves, no? hahah...
i shall keep this trip close to my heart for a really really long time to come.
as for now, ill be driving the mother to work for the last time tmr. damn saddening.. ill miss our gf moments..
