the world is a relatively small place isn't it??
you can never know who you might bump into once you get out of the house.
for example..
i reached my workplace. after a few days off, i was checking the IMRs.. & BAM! a familiar name. an absurdly familiar name. i tried placing that name with many-many associations. till it hit me.. that face.. that smile.. that NAME! if you must know, im referring to nisa's (azi's stagearts friend) very cute boss..
i have been bloghopping so reading nisa's blog has always been on the itienary. (i get bored surfing the net sometimes, no?) so it's no wonder that the name rings a bell in my head riiight?? (btw, nisa is always mentioning how HOT he is.. & my god.. SHE'S RIGHT!)
so he's my patient for like.. 5 minutes?? haha... nonetheless.. i had other patients to entertain. so the glory got cut short.
my parents are going away to batam on CNY for 2 days & i have to work the afternoon shift. bloody mangkok. i was actually thinking of night drives cause obviously, they wont be driving to batam right?? until the mother decided to burst me & brother's bubbles by saying..
"ayah will drive the car to harbourfront & park the car there overnight."LIKE WHAAAAT??? o_O
i totally had plans caaan?? like eating supper at changi or something.. maybe get the madgirls out or something.
nevermind. CNY is next thurs. the brother & I need to come up with an emergency contingency plan so that the car is in our possession. good gawd! i cant believe im doing this!
but then again.. ive always been capable of doing such things. HAHA..
toa payoh idiot is asking me out again. haiyah!

last night tonight. FUUH!
i'm supposed to be asleep like a pig right about now but there's quite alot going on in my head that i think i just need to let it out.. (keluarkan steam gitu.)
this round of night is surprisingly... not that tiring.. (CHOI! TOUCH WOOD.. it's very sensitive among nurses to say this but im not saying it per se right? so, not counted. heh)
despite the endless admissions from A&E.. badigol samdol lah org2 ni.. (one fell while tapping her ez-link card. one had thigh abscess & by which if i ddnt allow her to smoke, she claims she will die.another 2 had some other foot problems. stress.) yes, they each get weirder by the day.
but to top the night, i had the 2 best HO-on-calls i could ever ask for. efficient and CHARMING =)) Edward totally rocks my boat man. i should be angry at him for sending me those cases but cannot lah. his boyish charm was just too much! hehe.. (Edward, you being good-looking is NOT helping me at all. chet!)
i have an interesting story to share but im feeling absurdly sleepy all of a sudden. maaaaybe later..
i need bryan adams to canoodle me to sleep now.
p.s: mad girls.. make the bloody march trip happen man! WE NEED IT!!!

i can't believe my 11 days is up. i think i'm starting to get a tad TOO comfortable staying away from the ward.
it's been awhile since i got all excited to get back to work tmr.. (ok that's a lie. im not THAT excited. maybe 35% excited. shit. i'm so going to miss rotting at home watching dvds.)
another round of night this thurs. wasseh. listening to bryan adams with kak aini while doing my reports sounds pretty damn good..
i count myself lucky that me & kak aini have practically the same taste in music, movies etc etc.. makes our nights pass by even faster =))
and i thought i could meet up with seri in these 11 days.. but then again, she's soooo busy that calling her & getting her attention nowadays is a luxury.. am i right seri radhiah mustaffa????

you know what i realise??
night drives have this sort of therapeutic air to it. there's a certain calmness i like.
now, if ONLY my dad would chill out & be less defensive about his car, ill probably drive the car out every night! no shit.
a quick cheap thrill with my fellow missy.. (despite ayah's membebel-ing
"anak dara keluar pukul 11 malam tak bagos" &
"buat aper??" non-stop) we had supper & it was a laid-back good drive. heck, i was impressed by her driving. she IS safer than me lah, i have to agree. teehee..
oh oh.. & it was also her first time parallel parking lah siol! we managed to capture quite a number of audience. woohoo!!! member sampai berpeluh-peluh you. good effort, good effort =)
anihoos.. caught a play with her & ain just now.. got lost in the East. (ader street directory pon mcm tak guna langsung *slaps forehead*) shouting vulgarities at each other while driving & singing TAKE THAT out loud. all in all i have to say.. i hvnt had this much fun driving in a looong time baybeh.

how does it feel like turning 21??
a) it feels like any other birthdays i've gone through
b) just a little bit extra liberating (just a LITTLE bit!)
c) im closer to achieving my dream
so yesterday, my mum threw an advanced birthday party for me & my brother (our birth dates are 3 days apart! how very well planned eh.. ok, let's not go there)
i told mummy that i'd like a small family-family one.
so we invited my dad's side of the family plus a couple of extra granduncles & grandaunts.
we karaoke-ed (it's becoming a ritual) & we played charades. never knew my aunts & uncles were such sports.
i was happy. seriously happy. to me, just a simple celebration at home with my loved ones is enough. throw in a couple of surprises & hey! what a way to celebrate my 21st.
so my sincere thank yous to my uncles, aunts & little cousins for making my birthday (burpday as Didi calls it) a funny, memorable one =)
oh.. thank you too to my mad girls..
their ingenuity has upgraded.
as intelligent as they sound, they surprised me with a window wiper.
yes, very classy i know. but hey! a present's still a present rite girls??

& it's marie's last day with us.. =(
so we had a farewell breakfast with her at mcD's after our 2nd night.
ward 75 is starting to lose all its best staff. & in a year's time, it'll be my turn.. =)

i just came back from work about an hour ago.
my new year's celebration was damn happening! (more on that later)
first things first..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the old woman..
finally i got the chance to give her a decent gift. now i cn 3G her when im there.. suker!
u knw what, I wanted to surprise the mother with high tea @ carousal today. everything's booked, all planned out. & basket, my roster came out. i had to work afternoon today. wanted to swap with kat but that woman went to KL. haiyoh. super depressing. so instead, i got off yesterday, so i treated the mother to bali thai instead. then it was cakes at secret recipe.
talk about holiday weight y'all!!!! super depressing!
now, work story.. census was low. so there was only me, kak aini & marie working. (mcm night shift can?!) i only had 4 patients under my care. and my god, there was junk food in abundance! chocs, biscuits, cookies.. u name it. obviously we had a ball of a time stuffing ourselves to death.. increasing our hypertensive & diabetic markers. jeez...
eh, what the hell... it's the new year. we deserve some lovin'.
im going on night with these 2 next week. best lah. i can never ask for better kakis.
p.s: sal just said "19-4 = 10".. i have a genius for a friend. (haha.. just kiddin!)
