my IMH posting definitely ended bittersweetly..
no matter how irritating or crazy (no pun intended) my patients are, in the end.. they really make my day.. they made me realise how easy it is to laugh over the simplest of things.. & its not one of those fake snigger u get from others.. its the hearty ones that makes u laugh non-stop till u feel ur guts are about to make it's way out of ur anus!
evryday is game day for us students.. so far.. bloody relaxed posting caaaan!
scrabble, UNO, charades & WIN,LOSE OR DRAW became a daily activity for us all..
btw..we all felt happily liberated this week coz monster CI has gone away. woohoo! & mdm Syarifah took over. finally, a normal human CI who doesnt babble about her 10 course chinese dinner! she is ultra coolness that when we played UNO without the patients (coz they were napping in e dormitory), she just smiled, laughed & told us to enjoy playing till end of shift! like how freaking cool is that man..
im gonna miss the people there man. NOT e place. e people.
alright. on a lousier note.. going to vivo with e parentals is NOT fun at all laaarh. basket. apparently, its TOO BIG & BORING for the dad & e fact that e mum cnt walk long distances, my hopes were dashed. blardie shytes.
ill just stick to e godsis & e babes next time. better shopping kakis man. like seriously.

wow.. another non-stop rainy day stint..
it's sooo not helping that my nursing shoes are torn. & whenever i walk past a puddle. here comes the "slishy-sloshy" sound from the feet! disgusting!! ok.. im getting some black running shoes by next attachment..
now.. a PUMA sounds delightfully comfortable.. haha.. shall bother e mother abt this then..
anyhoooots.. reached hm just in time to catch Gol & Gincu the series on suria. i loved the movie itself. so i'd love to see what the series will bring. i still rmbr e mad ppl watching it together during raya outing last year.. then me & yat started doing that 'S-NAP' action.. what wonderful memories that was.. except.. u know what lah arh..
oh OMG! e mother's B-day is coming laaar.. die man. im always ALWAYS at a lost on what to get her. i know its e thought that counts. but still! she has expectations lah that woman. gee... now i have to crack my brains agn. oh crap. i wonder if another tudung wld satisfy her.. (then i cn tompang pakai too! haha.. i actually do that.. shhh!)
let's backtrack sikit to the christmas holz..
christmas eve was spent with the loved ones. e rain busted our idea of bbq-ing downstairs.. so thank god for e "tempat bakar satay" daddy still kept from our previous stall.. so we set up a table outside e hse & started e bbq there.. while the ladies inside started their karaoke session. talking abt karaoke.. i swore e ppl across town cld have heard yelling noises coming from us.. gee... nak cakap tone deaf, tak baik kan.. let's just say.. they're a little.. "tuneless"..
me & abg nizam stuck to bbq duties. i just had to escape from doing karaoke-cd-changing.. buay tahan liaoz!
ah yes.. happy bbq eaters.. =)
as for christmas day itself.. headed to town wif the godsis & her policeman.. did not find wat i was looking for but definitely a good substitute. had a good late lunch with them.. some catching up, heaps of laughter (i still cnt get over KE-TAI-AK ok! gosh!)..
3 days to go till my looooong weekend..
p.s: my timetable's out. farkwangbugshittingarseheadedhole! i start at 8AM all over agn.. i swear i thought those days are SO over man. (thank god its only for 3 days) but i shant complain. its only for another 7 weeks. & im DONE. for real... wooohooo!!

it's the festive season.
the season to be loving & BE loved.
im already missing fidah.. e geographer has gone to KL with her family for e weekend. my family's supposed to be there too lah but due to lack of hotel accomodations, we forego-ed e trip. i would have loved to get some major cheap shopping done there. but i guess it's not meant to be. eeergh.
so, instead my mum came up with a brilliant idea of a christmas bbq tmr. with her side of the family. cousins, aunties, uncles, nephews & nieces PLUS the potlucked food galore. let's just hope the weather cooperates. if not, e back-up plan would be karaoke session at my place. confirm pop ye ye lah beb.. apa lagi..
tonight is the wedding dinner.. im SO happy for hussni & kak lydia. like finally, they're "halal".. woohoo! & ive found my outfit.. thnx to e mother. she's a fashion saviour. seriously. love u lah mummy!
on another note, im missing my favourite people already...
my mad girls, i miss u guys hor. & im dying to hear updates from u ppl.. so nisa, hurry & organise an outing for us hokay =)

i happened to watch e 9.30pm news just now & saw that our tiny little red dot of a country is flooding in the north & east or something like that lah.
the flood was so bad $10,000 fishes were roaming abt freely! haha..
one guy even exclaimed "WHERE'S MY CAR?"
ok.. that was a seriously hilarious exclaimation. but still.. i do hope e monsoon season will tide over soon.
work today was productive. it's so productive that when my cute & adorable patients went to take a nap, e 5 of us decided to hog the scrabble board. yes. we were THAT bored.
we used ALL of e letter tiles ok! & we swore e tiles smelled like someone has pee-ed all over it.. HANCHING HABIS BEB!!! eeergh...

my dad is irritatingly cute lah..
i reached home late again today.. (9pm is
NOT late lah daddy.. chill udangz man!)
daddy was FURIOUS at 1st coz he's very particular about my prayer times & all..
so we were just sitting ard e dining table. he was giving me that stare. (step garang gitu) & i just smiled at him while saying
"sayaaaaang ayah"...aaaaannddd......... he totally GAVE IN! sucker.. he cnt get angry with his daughter over petty stuff lah.. super not worth it.. heheh..
my first day at IMH. hmm.. i got e luo soh kinda CI. wahpiang! she cn talk non-stop beb. & e worst part is, we had to stand e whole damn time listening to her drawl on about her achievements & thoughts.. ok, so we get it that ur a genius.. eeergh..
anihoots, e one & only thing i like abt her is the fact that she gave us 1hr 30 mins break! haha.. so me & e boys (oh.. i was reunitied with my brudders:
abg hanafi, johnny boy, gaozhen & lukman) decided to go on an impromptu road trip.
gaozhen was nowhere to be found so usop replaced him.. abg drove his sis's car (super small suzuki swift) to work.. so imagine all of us packed in e car. & we aint THAT SMALL.. as usual. i was in e middle.. very protected. haha..
so off we went to explore PUNGGOL END. i never knew there was a beach there lah. & it used to be a world war 2 site.. very cool! oh.. a damn hilarious moment happened when abg actually drove on the wrong side of e road! luckily it was a deserted road lah caaaan... haha..
i realised ive missed the brudders badly. & today was simply perfect to have them ard me.. although e main fun of it all is to make fun of me & ONLY ME. i dnt care lah. it was like having a norm back in my life.

you know, it's interesting & hilarious at the same time to see all kinds of ppl from all walks of life come into the A&E..
mcm2 story can come out of them... some got hammered by a family member lah.. some feels hot in the head lah.. some even forgot they fell down & wondered how the blood from their chin came about! haha..
being stationed at the triage area really opened my eyes to alot of happenings. & just because i was at the front line where the ambulance arrives & patients barging in.. being in action (meaning, helping to transfer pt from ambulance trolley) & communicating with e medics.. really action-packed lah ok..
i think if i was really a staff there, i could have done more. but still, a little help is better than none.
however, e horrible thing we as nurses have to put up with are those impatient, irritating patients PLUS family members who thinks they are
THE only ones who deserve first class treatment.. gee..
this one, cnt be helped lah.. we just try our best to make them comply to us..
(tapi dalam hati masih bleh maki hamun ok.. sungguh tidak dilarang!)back to e medics.. now i know how a medic earns his licence. thanx arh brudder.. tmr bring in more patients lah ok.. =)

we left OT with poise & grace & entered the world of A&E today.. 2 words.. fast paced.. i liiiiiike!!
all kinds of cases came in today & i was assigned to the doctor consultation rooms.. seriously.. cute doctors are still alive ppl.. i thought when i saw the surgeons in OT, that's it. gone.. no more cute docs for us tired nurses to peep at.. but.. jeng jeng jeng..
in came doctor Lee & doctor Alexander William (this mat saleh took my breath away for 10 whole seconds!! hah).. my gaaaaawd!!! i swear their personality soooo matches their profession. & dr Alex is by far the most Sporean foreigner ive ever met.. complete with perfect singlish & a little bit of malay & mandarin.. NOT BAD lah siol! maklumlah, org tu sudah tinggal di sini lama.. cheh...
riiite.. enough abt those cute doctors.. nanti ader org jealous, gua tak bleh angs!!

THE PARENTS & THE CHILDREN
suddenly, everybody in the HARON household seem to be in a happy jolly mood. it's not very often the four of them can agree on alot of things. the parents have been pretty open minded about stuff with their children, bringing the children to places they wanna go, food they wanna eat.. making the children very very happy people indeed! the children are lucky to be blessed with such wonderful parents. very cool...
BUT.. (there's always a but)
the parents can be annoying at times. raking up the past, comparing, nagging. i guess its normal. & it comes with the whole "parents will be parents" package. so, the children have no other choice but to live with this flaw. still, the children have NO DOUBT watsoever, they are the best set of parents for the both of them.
oh, the best part is, the parents actually trust the children on alot of their major decisions & things in life. hence, the children shall not abuse this trust.. & perhaps, use it to the best of their advantage.
so thank you to the parents for giving the children MOST of the things they want & need in life. the children may not express their love openly, but they still love the parents very unconditionally.

finally it's the end of my OT posting. seriously.. best posting so far. in terms of the things i saw & learn & the new friends made.. woohoo!! i foresee myself working with these ppl in future..
gerek lah siol! gossip & makan kakis in all of them.
oh oh.. me, grace, alison & kartini stayed back for about 30 mins after shift ended on the last day just to watch a caesarian section. sumpah we never ever saw one in life (& probably will never get to see another one in future)... the way the baby was delivered was beyond any words i could ever describe. its definitely NOT gorish or scary.. in fact, it was the most beautiful thing.. its the birth of a life. though not by natural means, but still.. the baby girl came out healthy & pretty!
oh the 4 of us became very excited missies instantly!! & we all perasan skejap that the baby was ours! haha.. how funny..
so the posting ended in a good note. evryone was happy. pics of us in scrubs were taken, again. this time, Sister Marhaini was in it too... (kartini has yet to email me those pics.. hurry up hun!)
ill be seeing these ppl again tmr for our A&E posting.. should be bloody (literally) interesting.. heheh..

sesungguhnyer, im resting both my legs on 2 pillows at this moment.. damn u aches & cramps!
started off with attachment from 8-4.. oh, i was ALMOST late! nvr felt so alone walking up the hills towards SGH.. scaree cum nervous feeling lah caaan.. ok, i blame the train. hah!
today, i was posted to the reception/recovery area.. now finally, i did something im very familiar with, vital signs & blanket-ing the trolleys.. partnered with grace.. great chic.. blur & hilarious & a good gossip kaki.. oh.. i swear she has the prettiest face!
after work, met sal & fid for our vivo shopping trip & also to camwhore for sal's photography project.. too bad i only window shopped AGAIN. now i know the things i wanna buy.. guranteed, plus chop it'll be mine by the end of the year.. woohoo!
sal ddnt get anything too.. & we were both dead beat by the 2nd hour of window shopping.. so much for being young with strong legs beb! haha.. oh.. 3 of us were suddenly very fascinated with baby clothes. dont ask y, but they're damn cute lah ok... check out baby GAP lah ppl.. sungguh tertarik aku kepada those cute jumpers!
we ended having late dinner at BK.. spotted some malay celebs. both of them urged me to take photos of the celebs.. mcm lah aku ni makcik kepo maner.. tsk tsk.. aku TAU malu lah ok.. gee...
in summary, laughters + sarcasms = gerek date.. =)

ONE day in the operating theatre..
makes me wanna join the E-dept after i graduate. i have to come up with a decision by nxt April on which discipline i wanna work in.. gee.. tough choices lah. & its sooo not helping that i seem to enjoy every ward ive worked in..
decisions decisions.. BUT.. i shall worry about this when its time for PRCP.. (its like.. our final attachment)
ok.. moving on..
there were some miscommunication breakdown before shift started.. we weren't actually briefed by the NYP lecturers on what to do or what to wear in fact when we enter the OT..
hence, it resulted in us reporting a little late to the sister.. (e sister SIBEY garang lah siol!)
we actually figured out BY OURSELVES that we haf to change to scrubs.. the pants i wore was ultra sengket!
BUT the leceh part of all this is, we have to change back to our uniforms if we wanna go out to buy lunch.
so sesungguhnyer kita semua pemalas, me & azira (my new attachment buddy) have decided to live on cup noodles & bekal for the whole week.. haha..
both of us were posted to OT R4 today.. we came in the middle of a
CHOLEDECTOMY CYST RESECTION. very cool.. though its too bad that students weren't allowed to watch the neuro, cardiothoracic surgeries.. (damn! i would have killed to see some real hearts.. bummer!!)
initially, we thought the whole OT setup would be very grey's anatomy-ish.. oh how very wrooooong.. still, we got to see our 1st operation & the surgeon is the chief professor of all SGH professors.. honoured, we were..
oh.. we secretly took pictures.. heheh... we HAVE our ways.. & i think, its not a crime =)

quite a number of events have been happening around me & to me.. but, long story short.. me & the mother.. not reaaaally on good terms. sometimes i wonder if its REALLY her pre menopausal hormones that's driving me insane.. oh well, she's STILL my mother.. & it's not helping that both of us dont wanna "lose" the silent treatment game we've been having. so i secretly hope she gives in.. hah!
ok.. other than that.. i caught open season with the dude at vivo last thurs.. its hilarious. cute animals, witty lines.. u get the picture..
oh, speaking of the dude.. he'll be in some outside camp.. for 3 days.. & then, he'll go overseas for another 5 days..
