we departed for batu pahat straight after suboh.. e excitement of balik kampong to the maximum.. i had actually wanted to go there alone a few weeks back wif e godsis.. but due to unforeseen circumstances, that had to be postponed.

so mum decided an impromptu day trip to e kampong. u see, my auntie is gonna get married in 2 weeks.. (i think its e marriage season for my family) so mum wants to give a pre-hongbao to e grandma 1st.. (takot tk teringat nanti.. wat wif all e sibok-ness..)

anihoots, e bride-to-be looks too relaxed for her own good.. seriously.. shes smiling from ear to ear.. im so glad shes finally tying e knots. den all e women just chilled in e bilik pengantin. talking about e pantang larangs of being a pre-bride..

there was one pantang which mum said that i thought was really weird, "pengantin tak boleh bau asap 3 hari sebelum nikah"

huh? oh there's more actually. but i TOTALLY forgot..

& to make things worse, e topic shifted from bride-to-be to ME! (gaaaawd, wats new?!) thnx arh evrione.. all of them seriously cant wait to see me get married can.. & who's e "lucky" (sense e sarcasm here?) fella to be my future hubby.. hoi! PRESSURE BEB!!!

oh & before we headed hm, my uncles did some monkey business...

"check it out!! they climbed trees!!! how kampong-fied is that?! FYI, they were plucking e manggoes... "

"e manggoes.. all pretty much uncooked! grandma gave us 3 bags full!"
