im baaaaack!! from Pulau Batam... it was a much needed, waaaay overdued getaway..
we relaxed, shopped like we never shopped before, went sight-seeing places & things we never knew about the island...

contrary to popular belief (its a well-known fact that its e "gatal pakciks who dont know wat to do with their CPF money haven"), i really love batam.. it's a vast difference from our concrete jungle. furthermore, e stuff there are blardie cheap & nice lah siol!!! gue suka bangeeeet!! haha..

hmm.. abt e shopping.. *raises eyebrows*. we did burn a MAJOR hole in mummy's pockets. heheh.. eh wait, she'll burn that hole from my bank book on the 25th.. jeez... but it's ok.. all in the name of satisfying my already exploding cupboard.. muahaha.. (padahal, baju berlambak tau.. some hvnt even been worn yet! yikes!!) but seriously lah.. im a sucker for good bargains.. pantang nmpk bende murah!

e "Sea Rider II".. our ferry to Sekupang terminal.

check out my dad, e pak haji sesat.. he knew batam was gonna be friggin hot, yet he wore black & wedding shoes! *smacks forehead* TSK DADDY!!!

me & bapak.. we call ourselves, the a-go-gos.. heheh..

we passed by plenty of developing lands.. & e funny thing is, these are the gates to a shopping centre, which hasnt even been built yet! haha..

did u know that batam has a humongous bridge (it's like a mini San Fransisco bridge) which connects 7 other indonesian islands together? e island after batam is Pulau Tonton.. & e tour guide let us get down for awhile to enjoy e scenery from the middle of the bridge.

can u see that small tiny island outside e window?? that's one of the 17000 plus islands of indonesia.. as long as there's ONE coconut tree on it, no matter how small e ground, it's an island.. gee.. im learning so much! haha.. fid, aku mcm pergi geography trip!!

then we visited South east asia's largest buddhist temple.. the "Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya"... we had some chinese who followed the tour. & mum was amazed as to how non-chalant they were about celebrating CNY. i mean, its their new year & they're enjoying it in batam having a jolly good holiday.. gah! kelakar btol lah manusia ni...

that's an Austin car imported from singapore. antique habes beb! the cars in batam are all second-handed from our country k.. & honda odessy is just S$17000! gawd! that dsnt even cover our road tax! hah!!

e biggest minyak kapak me & bro ever saw.. it's e size of a harry potter book i tell you!

after lunch, the bus driver brought us to a POLO retail store.. ader sale beb.. let's just say, i went mad in there.. =)

then, we ALL had a javanese traditional massage... S$20 for an hour & a half. i was enjoying it so much i almost dozed off in bliss! haha... goodness... act mcm org kaya skejap.. but its cheap lah.. so we all buay tahan already.. heheh..

e aftermath of e massage.. & right outside e pallor, some pakcik was selling krepek ubi.. home-made & still warm.. wah.. i especially loved e chilli one (daddy's holding e packet).. super pedas nk mampos!! but damn syiok!

1st shopping mall was Diamond City Mall. e bro & I wondered ard alone while e adults got tired of walking & decided to eat bakso for tea. we settled for the A&W coz we were seriously craving for e waffles ice cream. sungguh tebal & sedap & MURAH! enak lho.... ;)

now, right after that, they brought us to ANOTHER shopping mall in Nagoyah, Chinatown.. e parentals decided to have their haircuts.. just 13500 rupiah for a simple cut.. (which is like s$2 plus.. haha!) & meanwhile, i cuci my mata at daddy's hairdresser.. he looks much cuter in real life lah.. sumpah, he's one of e decent ones i saw throughout the entire trip! damn sad!!

there's even a Texas fast food restaurant in batam.. how interesting!! haha...

e wind was blowing against my hair lah... mcm aku ader muscles nk tunjukkan gitu.. babat aderlah.. sheesh!

we were waiting for the lift (on our way to attack the swimming pool, which by the way is gross, milky, disgusting & there were live bugs in it.. yeap).. he's sitting on a rubbish bin btw..

played pool at the hotel lobby after breakfast & swimming. i even had e time to berendam in the bathtub for an hour! haha... its 15000 Rupiah for an hour.. see. CHEAP!!!

going home time.. muker mak bapak aku.. sungguh stress habes!

this time, our ferry terminal's at Batam Centre.. its linked to ANOTHER shopping mall.. but e bridge was too far away, so we malas nk explore.. furthermore, there's a polo raulph lauren store at the terminal itself.. e bro & I got more bajus for ourselves.. goodness! it's too pretty to be ignored lah.. heh!

such a mummy's boy.. CHET!!! i swear im not jealoused. *rolls eyes*

oh, we spent the night at e new Golden View hotel.. bloody spacious rm.. & a not-bad view.. i definitely like..

i love watching RCTI & SCTV, so when i got to buy e real stuff advertised on tv, mcm aku beli satu store kau!

ok.. 2 days tour macam 5 days.. im SO gonna go there again.. maybe in june lah.. this time.. bring my other kakis.. nisa, fana amaciaaam?? JB is sooo last season beb.. hahahha...
