how is it possible that sleep is a luxury to me now?

i used to be able to sleep for 12-13 hours without disturbance or that thing called WORK! goddammit.

but then again, i catch my zzzz elsewhere. its not convenient, but it'll have to do.

anihoos, my mum wanted us to see her cousin off at the airport yesterday.
guess what time was her flight man. 3 friggin AM siols!
and i was on afternn shift before that & i had to work at 7 am today. eh, suker lah aku!

ok, back to the airport story (im digressing WAY TOO MUCH)

anihoos, this cousin of my mum's has been working in Oman as a military nurse for the past 15 years. she hasn't seen me or my brother since I was 7 or 8.

p.s: i don't even rmbr what she looked like before i saw her off yesterday can.. tsk tsk.

so we chatted for abit. did some catching up. she asked me about my job scope. i asked her about hers. & HOLY SHIT. check this out yo, working in Oman gets her this...

1. 60 days ANNUAL LEAVE
2. 4000 riyal monthly pay which equates s$16 000 (like whaaaaat???)
3. shes doing permanent night so she does 15 nights & the rest of the 15 nights are her day offs.
4. 2 return air tickets every year.

and get this, she said if i ever consider working in Oman, she can pull some strings for me. talk about family ties people. fuiyoh! s$16 000 every month is definitely NO SHIT. but for a small fry like me, ill stay in singapore for while longer.

mum used to stay over her hostel at KKH some 25-30 years back. they were close back in the hey-day.

alright, training leave tmr. looking forward to some break from the ward. YESSSSAAAH!!
